Well you found it - and yeah, I’m a bit anxious to show it. I’ve been working on this art form for about a year now. I love it - not very good at it yet - but I absolutely love it. Input, feedback, criticism and advice is always welcome.

My personal philosophy on graffiti isn’t all that different than a lot of other writer’s: don’t do it on personal property, schools, churches, houses, etc. I personally am too old to run from the law and getting tossed in jail would set a bad example for my son to follow. I paint on boards in my backyard or garage (in the winter). Yeah, someday I’d love to hit a train or wall. I’m sure an opportunity will come up.

I will say this, I’m getting really tired of everything “graffiti” spoken in the media is 98% of the time tied to gang tagging. Hey everyone - not every artist that uses a can of spray paint is a gang member. Let’s not assume all graff is gang related.

I also want to say this, I’m not pretending to be something I’m not. I didn’t grow up in the projects. I grew up middle-class. I went to college (a few times) and have a normal job. I have a son and might get a cat. I don’t think that since I can (sort of) create something with a can of paint that I’m all that and a bag of chips. I’ve always loved looking at graffiti and got tired of just looking. I bought some cans and caps and jumped in. I’m just a guy that loves this art form.

Just click on the “graffiti” tag (no pun intended). Thanks for taking a look…
